I have a 7kg washing machine, for a light wash, something that is not dirty but need freshening up I use one tablet, for a normal wash I use 2/3 depending on stains etc, If I'm washing something that is stained badly or needs more powder, I tend to use 2/3 tablets and a squirt of ariel liquid.
I can definitely recommend Surf with essential oils small and mighty, tropical oasis of ylang ylang and lily washing liquid - fantastic smell. And Tesco's own brand yellow conditioner, Summer fresh, is really nice. I only use the washing liquid for hand washing delicates and it leaves them with a beautiful fragrance, even after rinsing.
